Bernard Albert Rush, Sr., 93, Villas, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, May 1 at Complete Care-Court House. Born July 3, 1930 in Montivideo MN, he was the son of the late Joseph and Myrtle (Klaucus) Rush. He was drafted into the United States Army in 1951 and served during the Korean War while being stationed in Germany. He was a proud member of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Disabled American Veterans. He was also a member of the Greater Cape May Elks 2839 and the Knights of Columbus Council 3546. After being discharged from the military he traveled to Philadelphia where he met the love of his life Therese M. McNulty. The two married and had three children, Bernard A., Jr., Therese and Terrence. In addition to his children, he is survived by nine grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Services will be held 11 AM Tuesday, May 7th. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects from 10AM until the time of service at Evoy Funeral Home 3218 Bayshore Road North Cape May NJ 08204. Rev. Jamie King, Off. Interment with Military Honors will be on the grounds of the Beverly National Cemetery at a later date.
